  • 1Password Password manager. I use version 7 still.
  • Alfred Launcher && Workflows && extended clipboard.
  • Bartender lets you organize your menu bar icons.
  • Dropbox Free personal storage.
  • GPT4All A free-to-use, locally running, privacy-aware chatbot. No GPU or internet required.
  • Little Snitch is a host-based application firewall for macOS. It can be used to monitor applications, preventing or permitting them to connect to attached networks through advanced rules.
  • MidJourney AI art throught Discord.
  • Unarchiver Best archive utility/zip tool.


Linux Software

I didn’t include everything as many applications I use on Mac OS, I also use on Linux.

  • Dolphin is a lightweight file manager.
  • KDE plasma Desktop.
  • konsole Terminal Emulator.
  • krunner is a quick launcher.
  • kwin The reliable and flexible window manager for KDE Plasma.
  • krohnkite A dynamic tiling extension for KWin.

Command Line (Mac OS && Linux)

These are command lines tools that I largely use on both Linux and Mac OS.

  • bat Syntax highlighting in terminal output.
  • btop A monitor of resources
  • brew Install things the correct way on Mac OS.
  • eza A modern, maintained replacement for ls.
  • fd A simple, fast and user-friendly alternative to ‘find’.
  • ffmpeg A collection of libraries and tools to process multimedia content such as audio, video, subtitles and related metadata.
  • fzf A command-line fuzzy finder.
  • gifsicle Create, manipulate, and optimize GIF images and animations.
  • httpie is a command line HTTP client that will make you smile.
  • jq is a lightweight and flexible command-line JSON processor.
  • mdcat cat, but for Markdown.
  • mpv video player for command line.
  • ncdu Check disk usage with NCurses.
  • nvm Version manager for node.js.
  • ripgrep recursively searches directories for a regex pattern.
  • tig Text-mode interface for git.
  • vim is a highly configurable text editor for efficiently creating and changing any kind of text.
  • yabai A tiling window manager for macOS based on binary space partitioning.
  • yt-dlp yt-dlp is a youtube-dl fork based on the now inactive youtube-dlc. The main focus of this project is adding new features and patches while also keeping up to date with the original project.
  • z Tracks your most used directories.
  • zsh Terminal shell.
